Time Lapse Carb Rebuild

STILL NO EASY TASK

While obviously easier than engine rebuilds, consider the time involved. In this go round, Davin Reckow rebuilds a Holley 4346, which can be found on Camaros, Chevelles, and Novas equipped with a 396-cid V-8 L78. This four-barrel helps the engine produce 375 hp and is a 780 cfm dual-vacuum-secondary carb, for those interested.
While watching, notice how difficult it is to separate the metering block from the carb body. It reminded me of when I was working on the three NIB tri-power 2bbls. Even though they had never been used, that gasket had hardened and were stuck as if glued. Adding to the complication were separator plates used on the end carbs (no metering block)
