By most standards Hendersonville, NC is a pretty simple place. Like many communities they've taken the necessary steps to maintain their hometown flavor by preserving the charm of Main Street. If you ever get the opportunity to visit you'll find that the Downtown area is a classic in it's own right.

An event called Music on Main, now in it's 14th year, has become a major local attraction. One of the ideas suggested in 2000, was to invite the Hendersonville Antique Car Club. They were asked to organize a car show to become a part of the event schedule. While little more than an experiment at the time the event combined with the car show was a smashing success.

Music on Main has become a part of the town and so have the car shows. With the help of the Hendersonville Antique Car Club and their many volunteers, a growing number of antique and classic cars are brought out of garages and barns each year, hoping for the best parking spot on Main Street for the car show.

The first Music on Main event for 2012 was on Friday June 8th.

Nothing but Classics, as far as the eye can see

As merchants put the finishing touches on their displays, over 200 Classics from 4 states rolled into town last Friday

With the hundreds of Classics on display, music began to fill the air, and seemingly out of nowhere, the streets began to fill with people. They came to enjoy a beautiful evening, the carnival-like atmosphere, listen to music, and take a walk down memory lane. Some seeing the cars they used to drive, others seeing the Classic they want to own.

The Hendersonville Antique Car Club is one of our Founding Clubs. For more information about the club, to join, or to bring your Classic to the next event, just visit their website.
